AT A GLANCE

We are happy to accept 1 well behaved dog downstairs in the property and kindly request that dogs do not “do their business” in the courtyard area. There is a field with pathway access just a 30 second walk from the house.

We had a lovely Mon to Fri break here in October, the house was great perfect size for 2 adults, 2 teens and a dog. Nice location, no problem being so close to the pub though may be different in summer when you need windows open as when outside you can smell food extractor and it's next door to the pub terrace. Nice friendly pub with games room with skittles/pool etc. Helpful information in the house info booklet about walking to the beach avoiding the busier roads. lovely pub on the seafront too. We had a great stay at Vicky and Heather’s cottage. The house was as described and very cosy! We enjoyed the local pubs - the food at the George was superb and a lovely cafe in Bridport called Soulshine. We would love to come back! We accidentally left our toddler’s wellies behind and Heather very kindly posted them back to us which was much appreciated!  - 20/10/25

The Friary was a perfect place to stay for our group of 5. Clean, comfortable and very well equipped. A great location for exploring West Dorset and a short walk to Seatown and the fabulous Anchor Pub to access the SW coastal path.  - 22/09/25
